Tattoo Aftercare

• Keep new tattoos out of direct sunlight for the duration of the healing process
• If you’re exposed to the sun for an extended time, keep new tattoos covered until completely healed
• Keep new tattoos out of standing water until fully healed
  ( ex: pools, hot tubs, bubble baths, rivers, lakes, oceans)
• It’s encouraged to expose the new ink to running water such as a shower 
• Clean newly tattooed area at least 3 times a day
• Use an unscented liquid antibacterial soap, such as Dial Gold
• After washing your hands and tattoo, apply a thin layer of a non-scented hand lotion
  (ex: Lubriderm or Jergens)
• If a bandage is necessary, it should be a sterilized bandage, however typically a bandage is not needed
